Smokers: We Have A Right To Clean Air And You're Polluting Mine!

Smokers beware because you're going to make some non-smokers anger, very angry for the simple reason you're in our space blowing your stink smoke in our air space.
I know this sounds petty but to someone who do not smoke at all  seems fair enough for the simple reason we do not want to breath your cigarette smoke making us sick and perhaps possible have Cancer or COPD.
You have some people who are kind enough to leave or don't light up and just excuse themselves with an apology. Then you have those who get all upset and with an nasty attitude and mumbling under their breath or sometimes just curse you out for no reason whatsoever.
I like the ban on smoking in public places which  for me I can actually breath easier knowing that no one will smoke in my nice clean space smoke free. I also like it because I don't have to move dying with smoke in my nose and my lungs half way killing me in the process. They actually need more non-smoking areas to satify those who do not smoke or like smoking; it makes life a little easier.
My grandmother died of Cancer probably because my grandfather smoked those old stoogie cigars in the house. In the result, grandma gotten a whiff of granddaddy's cigars thus second hand smoke. Then granddaddy just stop smoking and he gotten sick and died probably because of years of smoking just caught with him.
Second hand smoke does kill! According to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), second hand smoke is responsible for an estimated 38,000 deaths among non-smokers each year, which includes 3,000 lung cancer deaths and 35,000 deaths due to heart disease and it's responsible for lower respiratory tractinfections in an esimated 300,000 children each year.
So now you see why I am in an uproar over the cause of smoking and why I am oppose smokers smoking in my space because SECOND HAND SMOKE KILLS ! Not only it'll kill you for putting that posion in your system but it'll kill putting in someone else's sytem as well; two wrongs don't make it right....

The Blur Heard Around The World

I have never heard such mess as this when a Congressman of all people blurs out "YOU LIE!" to the President of the United States. Something you would expect from a misbehaving child or a protest demostrator who disagrees with what I how and what our government is doing I can see but a misbehaving Congressional Member, you got to be kidding me or are you?
If  that would have been a white Republican President then we wouldn't even hear about this in any of the media  or yet alone be leaked out by any shape or form. In fact, that Congressman would gotten a tongue lashing from the President himself like say, LBJ or perhaps Truman because these two particular Presidents are the kind who don't like to be told that to their face and not behind their back either.
Let's look at from all points; this Congressman is either crazy or just have no manners whatsoever or and I am going out on a linb here and following along with former President Carter as being a bigot, racist--you do the math on that if you want.
If this happened in the British Parliament and one of those men from the House of Lords blurred out "YOU LIED" while the Her Highness is speaking, then that person in the House of Lords would probably repimanded by the Queen herself and probably be removed from the House of Lords or perhaps the British Parliament.
So there are rules that the House and the Senate has to go by and it is expected to go by as a government.

So you see it pays to behave in the House......

Shadows of Summer

Summer vacation suddendly ends with a bang and leaving only memories of hot dogs days, swimming pools,a flood that never quits, lots of shorts and tee-shirt days which arejust shadows of summers past.
Gone are the ice cream days of summer cooling our poorselves off from those days that we'll never forget and times we shall always keep.
Time is many shades of colors painted on the leaves on the trees as Autumn takes its rightful place on the calendar.
Soon, summer shall pack it's bags and off it'll go to settle down until next year comes around once more.
Autumn makes its visit suddenly like an old friend visiting for a long, long time and the sudden shadows of summer slowy dissapear.
The children in the Fall wear clothed warm clothes as the weather takes shape and suddenly performs its ritual of the season.
The bell in the schoolyard sings its same song once again this year as it makes its grand announcement of the of the return of days of improving the mindand putting away summer's toys until next time around.
Memories of summer vacation being talked of on the first week of school then its business as usual--education.
The thirst of knowledge is being quinched in classrooms all over as summer memories linger onward.
Thanksgiving, the holiday of harvest and being thankful.arrive as tables are filled from end of the  table to the other arrives and family gatherings being the order of the holiday.
Don't forget the days of the grid iron hit the fields of stadiums across America on the "one eye monster" our television sets.
The shadows of summer bring forth fruits of labor, sweat and great times in the sun.
Oh great the days of summer past and gone for Autumn has arrived.

Give Me a Break!

by Kenneth R. Jenkins

I agree with President Obama, the police did act stupidly while arresting Dr. Louis Gates on last week thinking someone else was actually breaking into another person's house when the house was actually Dr. Louis Gates; this is the case of racial profiling at its very best.
This is simply telling me if you are living in a nice neighborhood and African-American then you are thug from the 'hood that breaks into other people's homes or "jacking" someone for their money in certain places or perhaps a gang member and this qualifies you as a thug. Then when the police comes around and they see you they arrest you now and ask questions later; I don't think so!
Not every African-American fits the porfile as a "thug" and Black. You have some who by the way are like Dr. Louis Gates who are well educated, well behaved and not wearing a gold chain around their neck with their pants hanging down showing their underwears and their hats turned around backwards.
As an African-American male, I don't like it when the police passes by you once circle the corner and stops you wondering where are you going, where were you coming from and why are you out here at this time of morning or late at night when you just simply just getting home from a long days work and tired.
As an African-American male, I don't like it when a White person picks you out in a line up from a crime you didn't do just because you are Black and when you are Black, you all just look alike,we fit the profile of a criminalwhen you did nothing wrong but by trying to do what's right.
Yes the President said it right, the police reacted on a call from another citizen who picked the wrong person at the wrong time while being Black----GIVE ME A BREAK!
